About Us

Shepherdstown Bee City USA aims to educate its members and communities on the importance of working together to conserve native pollinators. This includes increasing the abundance of native plants, providing nesting sites, and reducing the use of pesticides.

The organization is committed to support pollinators, particularly the 3,600+ species of native bees in the United States. By promoting native plant growth, creating nesting habitats, and minimizing pesticide use, Shepherdstown Bee City USA aligns with the initiatives of the Bee City USA® and the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation.
